well i guess this should be the last post for 2008! so lemme do some self reflection and also to wrap up the yr's happenings...

so i left VS and came to VJ. still a Victorian no matter whr i go. Just that it's a change of environment. so started my year, with ipo, which was last dec. it was fun getting to know new classmates, and learning more about the vj culture. and after that came O1. oh yea that was real fun, being in Ivanhoe, Ivanesence, it was real fun with all my sub-og mates. gg crazy with ernest puey is real fun i gotta say. haha and so after O1 was mass dance at suntec, and also sea carnival at ecp. all fun fun. and after that, curriculum started. and meanwhile, i joined VJCSB. and was real fun i gotta say, but lonely at the beginning of the yr, cos u're the only person from ur batch. oh well after that was ny trip, which i stupidly missed cos i got really bad marks for my LA in first term, and dint want it to get any worse, but ended up, i didn't learn anything that week... stupid stupid STUPID!!! ok anyway, following that was majestia at esplanade. a real cool exp i gotta say. and on academics, still no exams till may.

June came, and it was jts - with a little excitement by walking over to och.. haha and after that came 3 full weeks of studying for RTs when sch reopened in term 3... after that was one whole full term of studying for eoys... and came slack time! lol playing dota with the vs guys is fun, but that was only for the moment... soon came hols and band started... tune in and nssn, and ya it was fun. and till today, 31 dec, we vipers are still frantically trying to complete hw... like me right now, trying to complete my 1000 word chi essay. i wonder why chi department wants to spam us with hw always...

so on a personal note, i guess i reli had loadsa fun this yr in VJ. learning and playing with ur class and batch, and all vipers. and also bandmates. and also as a whole school. it's reli fun and all. plus all the fun lessons and some of which i went all rarh rarh and started making loads of noise, but also making lessons fun i guess? for myself at least LOL! and so anyway, i reli wanna say a big thx to all who have made this yr a great, fun, and of cos a memorable yr. i reli wish nxt yr will still be the same...

tmr's the new year. and i shall list down some of the major events that will be taking place over the year 2009.

and a special note to my batchmates in VSCB (if u guys ever read this post), all the best for the syf nxt yr!!! remember the GWH!!! we're gonna claim it from the bunch of ppl who took it away from us last yr, replacing it with a silver. we will ensure VSCB gets a gwh, like how we did back in 2005 :D

was reading jj's blog just now... saw how stressed he was about syf nxt yr, and the GWH which we've been yearning for since last yr's syf... well it's good to know some people are getting all stressed abt syf now... well that is one big reason why i shouted at them so much before i left VSCB... hopefully they'll be able to pull through

i'm not sure if i said this before... but nssn reli reminds me of how little time thr is left with the j1s... and nssn also reli reminds me of how i have walked thru this yr, as the only ip1 in band... from not being close to anyone at all, to being close with daniel shikang fahjin, and then gradually closer to others around me, and now, the j1s are like my batchmates...

listening to Quintet by Canadian brass reli makes me emo and all... keeps reminding me of vjcsb... keeps reminding me of nssn, majestia, and the people who made them a success...

everytime i think of nssn, i will always think about the section, mr tan, j1s, skit, batch dance. cos although technically i'm not a j1, i joined them for the dance and all, making me like a j1, BUT i'm still in fact only an ip1... i still have 3 more years to go by, and at the end of 4 years, deep down inside, u will know what u really miss, who u reli miss...

i wonder how things will be like. cos when j1s leave nxt yr, i will become an ip2. and in the following yr, i will be taking over them and becoming the j1 of the band. but i will reli miss being their jnr, cos they are REALLY A FUN BATCH OF PPL. I think i will feel very empty if one day, i return back to the band room, but see no one inside. It's like some nightmare, and you can't see the people you want to, the people that you trust a lot. When I'm j2, i think i reli will end up like my ip4s... esp charissa, cos she had wanted to cry on stage that night on majestia... She said the band room looks very different from what it looked like when she joined band back in ip1... 3 years ago that means...

As a Viper in the band, you would see 4 batches of vjcsb members throughout ur 4 years thr. As an IP1, you would be close to ur j1s. And when u're ip2, i guess u would be close to the j2s and j1s of that yr. and when u're ip3, or aka j1, u would be close to ur batchmates, and the j2s, BUT the seniors of j3s WHOM u have spent wonderous memories would not be thr anymore, and they would be out thr pursuing their different dreams. And that is when u realise, u have grown up, u have to stand on ur own, and remember them. cos who knows when u will be meeting them again, like gg to vivo as a batch, and playing games like chop chilli for 1 hour plus, and getting videoed by strangers? u will definitely miss the times u spent with them... Last but not least, when u're ip4, or aka j2, u would be the senior of the band, or the most senior, cos technically speaking u have spent 4 years in the band, and would know the band more den any other person. u would be close to ur batchmates, and ur jnr j1s. and den u would also realise, ur j3s are not thr, and ur j4s aren't thr as well. and when u play for ur last concert in vjcsb after 4 years, 7 concerts, u would have a sudden surge of feelings inside u, with all feelings getting all mixed up. this would be when u would miss ur j1s of 2008. the people u have learnt a lot from, spent a lot of fun times with, played in the band tgt, and the fact that u aren't playing with them anymore, but playing for them in the audience on the last night of ur last concert. they will become ppl listening to u, and they will be the ones telling u how u've grown since ip1. u will definitely feel that they are the seniors and teachers of ur life in vjcsb...

i'm reli lucky to have them as my seniors, taking me in and treating me as one of them. if i hadn't joined band, perhaps i would be in some other cca, whereby ip and jc are totally two different cliques... and it would not be as much fun that way...

this nssn marks the end of my ip1 life. as the only ip1 in band. it marks the end of a wonderful yr with my j1s. it marks the beginning of a new yr, new challenges, and memories that will forever belong inside u...

ytd was a boring xmas day for me. WAKING UP TO FIND U HAVE SORE EYES ON XMAS MORNING is the best present ever. I mean, 'best'. like wth?!?! oh well... last time when dad was ard, he would bring us to his fren's houses for xmas parties. now, mum only goes to grandma's house. she doesn't like all those parties at all. so that's what my xmas is all about. i even played eupho ytd. on xmas day. that's how boring my xmas day is. but oh well, spent (almost) the whole day talking to yanzhu and charmaine. my 2 very nice seniors. haha thx for talking to me!!! and also enan and nokia. haha

today thr's band outing. and im not thr. not allowed to. sore eyes and recovering from my third round of flu. HAVE FUN VJCSB!!! i miss them... :(

YEA CHALET WAS DAMN FUN!!! went thr at 7 with jason and reggie. ended up cycling str8 away. for like a few hours. until 12. where we rode tgt as a band to changi village. from our chalet to changi village is 15 km. it took 2.5 hours. so we reached like 2.30am. den after that ate nasi lemak. den went back to chalet. left at like 4. lol yanzhu junzhe louise and i rode tgt back! REACHED BACK AT 5.30! we were dead beat when we reached back. STUPID 7.9KM ROUTE! IT'S THE STUPIDEST ROUTE EVER!!! anyway went back to chalet AND MY BUTT HURTS! tgt with my legs and all... sat down on the floor and i immediately jumped back up cos it really hurt a lot *ouch* den went to slp at 6 plus to 7 plus. den went to macs for brkfast. den returned bikes and left. IT'S DAMN FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

well it officially marks the end of NSSN. it's been a reli gr8 time of my life this hols. VJCSB rocks.

haha band clean up today. quite slack. not like the one in june. where it really got tiring and sweaty. after that played basketball. den did all the dances and the cheers. went high with the other OGLs in the band!!! haha

took 36 with the band down to marina square to have lunch and den watched 'bolt'. quite touching. lol teared a bit. (unbelievable eh?)

after that went with chris and leeguan to do some stuff. can't announce as of yet. haha

taken days before nssn. the guys of bass section. yea

gosh it's been two days since nssn. and yet the nssn spirit still lives on. still damn high. in fact everyone is. gosh. it rocks.

it's kinda impt concert i gotta say. cos firstly, it marks the end of the first yr working and playing tgt with the j1s. they're like my batchmates in the band. taking me in at the beginning of the yr till now. yanzhu says in her card she treats me like a batchmate instead of a jnr. haha. now only left 5 months before majestia, which also means 5 months more to work and play with the j1s. gosh time really flies....

also it's been fun working with the sec fours too in this past month since tune in. another thing which makes me sad is the fact that this might be the one and only concert to play with some sec fours. cos some might wanna stay on, some might not wanna stay on. and it's really just 1 months' time of memories... but it seems very long indeed. oh well. time flies again...

one last thing is really about Mr Tan. his last concert with us. i'm really lucky to have joined band this yr. to be able to learn under him, play under his baton. it's really a great experience with him i gotta say. HE KNOWS MY NAME TOO! i reli nvr thought he would have remembered my name cos im just an ip1, and a lousy euphoniumist. but he took the effort to do so! he reli loves the band i guess. and also i remembered him saying 'you sound better' while we were playing thru prelude to a celebration, during a practice before tune in. it's like the only thing he said to me.... but it still means a lot. Thank you for everything Mr Tan :) all the best for ur studies at Indiana University!!!

it's just been 2 days. but it seems like a very long time since the concert. it's really part of my memories now. it's part of me. it's part of VJCSB.

whoo NSSN ROCKS!!!! YTD WAS THE DAY! gosh i miss it so much now.. it's reli over very quickly. practiced for a few weeks, over within 2 hours. time reli flies...

ytd went down to pp at 12.30 for final section lunch. after that bought sweets for the band with jason and joel. after that went for band at 2.30 with the two of them. prac from 3 to 5.30. following that CHANGED INTO CONCERT ATTIRE! gosh ALL BLACK + PINK TIE! WHOOOOOOOOOO haha (acty pink quite nice) (time for a change!!!) haha following that, ate dinner. den start exchanging cards. gosh i wrote for 39 ppl. kept shouting all the names la. den gave laura her present. haha im her secret santa!!! hehe lol following that, concert. went on stage. whooo it's really a magnificent exp. with sec fours. j1s. like im junior/senior. dno how to express my feelings now...

a really great concert i gotta say. with the pieces march blue sky, o magnum mysterium, children's march, twinkle twinkle little star, prelude to a celebration, two for christams, galaxy express 999, they rocked. of course plus copacabana too!!!

haha the skit was fun i gotta say. it was over real soon, learning the dance weeks ago. both individual, as well as couple dance with charmaine. haha remembered the fun times while learning, like when alyssa said 'close ur hands' i immediately clenched my fists. charmeaine laugh like xiao. lol den all the dancing. wah everyone went tired and high. oh yes when charmaine and i were tested on our dance, all the other j1s started laughing. chris said it was cos when we jumped, we jumped the same height, and landed at the same time. haha how funny and weird and how much coordination we had. yea...

dancing at the first row is reli some experience i gotta say. facing the audience, and esp when ur frens are sitted right where u are dancing, so MALU!!! haha den the story followed for the skit... changed into the little jason outift. ok la quite fun. the 'fighting Max scene' was funny to the audience. wasn't expecting this kinda response. haha

i wanna thank my whole section for giving me such a memorable time all these weeks!!! Jason, Amanda, Louis, Gabriel Chin, Xing Hao, Paula, Sheqal, and last but not least, beloved SECTION LEADER JOEL!!! haha it's been real fun working with joel this whole time i gotta say. this whole yr. following that ARE ALL J1S AND IP2S OF VJCSB!!! BEEN FUN KNOWING U GUYS, BEEN FUN WORKING WITH U GUYS, BEEN FUN BEING PART OF THE VJCSB FAMILY!!! there are only 5 more months to majestia, my last concert with the j1s. gosh time realy flies when u're enjoying everything u have. how u will miss everybody when they leave.... nostalgic feeling :(
